In 1897 he moved to Evia to join the resistance (kleftes). He was killed at the battle of Domokos and he is buried in the sematary of Domokos. According the storytelling of a person who fought in the same battle, he got wounded by the Turks and asked for water. When he sipped the water he passed away. Το 1897 πήγε στην Εύβοια για να ζήσει ως κλέφτης. Σκοτώθηκε στη μάχη της Δομοκού και είναι ενταφιασμένος στο νεκροταφείο της Δομοκού. Σύμφωνα με την διήγηση ενός συμπολεμιστή του, λαβώθηκε από τους Τούρκους και ζήτησε νερό. Όταν ήπιε το νερό ξεψύχησε στα χέρια του συντρόφου του.
